With the opening of hospitals, medical centers and with housing developments being built out it can be hard to think of what might be next for Lake Nona. But there are some big plans on the horizon to expand the area even further!

Lake Nona Town Center is the next big project that is being worked on with construction starting this year. Lake Nona Town Center is part of a $500 million next development phase that includes office space, hotel, industrial buildings, retail and restaurants!

This complete shopping and leisure complex will features department stores, trendy boutiques, a cinema as well as selection of restaurants that will make your mouth water. For those familiar with the Waterford Lakes development near UCF, many locals have lovingly been calling this the “Waterford Lakes” of Lake Nona!

The first part of the construction that begins this year is on some of the restaurants and the hotel – which is the first in Lake Nona…but unlikely to be the last! Then the retail and commercial space will follow.

Stay tuned for more information on this exciting development as the phase progresses – this is definitely going to be a real community focus for residents of Lake Nona.
